An Experienced Female Dentist With Richmond Roots
Dr. Guthrie’s path to becoming a dentist began long before she owned a dental practice.
She started her dental career as a dental assistant in 1998 before earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. She then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at VCU.
After working as an associate general dentist for four years, Dr. Guthrie purchased James River Family Dentistry in 2008.
Since then, she has continued to pursue advanced dental education, including training through The Dawson Academy and Spear Education, and earned Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Her professional involvement has also included leadership within the Richmond Dental Society, participation in the Virginia Dental Association and membership in multiple professional dental organizations.
Dr. Guthrie has also shared dental education with the Richmond community through appearances on CBS 6’s Virginia This Morning.
