James River Family Dentistry is pleased and proud to announce that Dr. Marci Guthrie has won the honor of being named a “Top Dentist” of 2018 by Virginia Living Magazine! Virginia Living Magazine asks the medical community to nominate and vote for their colleagues that have exemplary performance within their chosen field and Dr. Guthrie is greatly honored to receive peer recognition.
Dr. Guthrie began her dental career as a dental assistant in 1998. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at VCU in 2004. Following her residency, she worked as an associate general dentist for 4 years and then purchased James River Family Dentistry in 2008. In an effort to provide the best treatment and latest technologies to her patients, Dr. Guthrie has completed many continuing education courses at The Dawson Academy and Spears Institute and is active in local monthly study clubs.
Dr. Guthrie combines her exemplary education with years of experience to provide a compassionate, patient-centered approach to dental care. Her goal is to use the latest technology in order to provide the highest quality dental experience in the Richmond area. To have her peers recognize her impact on the dental profession is a great honor for Dr. Guthrie, who loves to use her skills to educate and empower her patients in their journey to oral health.
The ‘Top Dentists’ issue will feature all of the dental professionals who were recognized as ‘Top Dentists’ and appear in the July print issue of Virginia Living magazine. Additionally, the Top Dentist listings will be included in the Virginia Living Magazine’s annual medical directory, which will also be released in July 2018.
